Terms of service
Short version: Awayproof is a browser extension sold as a subscription after a 7-day free trial. Use it in line with your employer's policies. It works with the web versions of Microsoft Teams and Slack, which can change at any time, so we can't promise it will always work.

Awayproof is made by Vértice Tecnologia Global LTDA (CNPJ 67.764.810/0001-95), Rio do Sul, SC, Brazil ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@awayproof.com. By installing or using Awayproof you agree to these terms.
What Awayproof does
Awayproof keeps your Microsoft Teams and Slack web status from switching to Away while the extension is active and a Teams or Slack tab is open in your browser. It only works with the web versions of those apps, not their desktop or mobile apps.
Using Awayproof at work
Many employers have rules about presence indicators, monitoring and which browser extensions you may install. You are responsible for using Awayproof in line with your employer's policies and any agreement you have with them. Awayproof is meant for people who are working but not touching the keyboard. Don't use it to misrepresent whether you are working.
Free trial and subscription
- New users get a 7-day free trial with no card or email required.
- After the trial, Awayproof costs $3.99 per month or $29 per year, plus any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live. Prices shown at checkout are the ones that apply.
- Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and reseller. Your purchase is also subject to Dodo Payments' terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from the customer portal linked in the extension. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
- We may change prices for future billing periods. We'll tell existing subscribers by email at least 30 days before a price change takes effect.
License keys
Your subscription comes with a license key. It works in up to 5 browsers at the same time, and you can free one up from the extension with Remove this browser. Don't share it, resell it or publish it. We may disable a key that's being shared or abused.
No guarantee it will always work
Microsoft and Slack update their web apps often, and an update can stop Awayproof from working until we release a fix. We work to fix breakages quickly, but Awayproof is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise that it will work without interruption, with every workspace configuration or with every browser.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including any employment consequences of using Awayproof, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Awayproof in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.

Awayproof is an independent product. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft Corporation or Slack Technologies.

Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the effective date above. If a change is significant, we'll tell subscribers by email before it takes effect.
